Dodge Challenger Toad?

The owner's manual says OK to tow with the 6spd, and Blue Ox makes baseplates. However, there is a report on both Challenger forums and another RV forum of a quick transmission failure.

I'd like to buy one but hesitate to do so with that sort of risk, so...

Are there any successful examples of flat towing a Challenger on iRV2?

Thanks in advance.

Remco doesn't list anything about 2014 Dodges. For 2013, two of the three Challenger models must be towed on a trailer with the 6 speed manual trans. I did see in the '14 Dodge Challenger Owner's manual that a manual trans. can be towed 4 down unlimited distance as long as you stay below 65 mph. Get it verified in writing from Dodge to be sure they haven't changed the rules, then buy one if you like.
