Hi all,
I'm new to this forum so first a BIG hello from Texas City, Texas. If y'all don't mind, I have a question regarding the color of a TOAD.
Does the color matter? What I mean is, does the color have to match the MH? We are picking up a new (2008) Winnebago Destination and have been searching for a TOAD. The MH is "Granite," in color and DW says we need silver, gray, or burgundy. Now I do have to keep her happy, but to me, color does not matter.
Could I have some opinions please?
Thanks.

Wayne,
My personal opinion is color does not matter --- well, within the limits of good taste, anyway.

My Destination is Granite and my CRV Toad is brown. I see color matched units and they look nice.

It's one of those "personal preference" matters.
One of the good things about RVing is that you can do your own thing.

Color makes no difference and if you want a particular color, other than the one the DW has decided on, you go right ahead and get that...
However, if Momma ain't happy, ain't no one happy.

Well, as I am a DW, I say color absolutely matters! Is this a trick question?
Hugs to all...

Brenda,
Only unbiased DW's reports count in this thread.
By the way, Monaco Indiana plant has closed it's doors and sold everything, including furniture. Moved their operation to Oregon HQ.
Edited: p.s., you have a beautiful coach.

I don't match -- my MH is basically white with green trim/decals and my toad is a black Ford Focus.

Are you kidding! Your better believe color matters. You can buy any color you want as long as you want silver, gray, or burgundy. Remember, you get the last two words. They are: "Yes dear".

Our color doesn't match and the toad can go topless. So we really don't match
But it is what Patty wanted . At least I got the turbo
I have to admit, if we would have bought a Scion Xb, it would have been white with teal accents. So Patty says
Buy what suits you.
Have fun and visit often

To an Engineer the color of the Toad will not affect the gas mileage or the road-ability of the vehicles. A lighter color can keep the interior a few degrees cooler, but since no on is riding in the vehicle while it is being toad, this is irrelevant.
However there is the aesthetic value of a color. Women tend to appreciate this more than men. A RV and Toad that have matching or complementary colors announces that you have taste, that you have an orderly well planned lifestyle, or that you have enough money to spend to have your RV painted to match your Toad.

Alvin, as an engineer myself, I say When SIZE matters, then the color of the TOAD will matter.
