Not sure what your motivation is but for me it would not happen. Can't imagine crawling under to R&R the driveshaft every time I hook up.
Perhaps a Transmission Lube Pump might be a better option if you can't change to a more suitable toad. IMHO

I used one for a while on a chevy astro van. Had no problems with the drive shaft disconnect. I did not like towing the Astro and we had another toe vehicle.

I'm from the old school...back then it was easy..hook up lights, pull the disconnect cable and roll....now so much more involved, that i have no desire to tow again. Last 4 down towed I saw was a few months ago...two women in a class 'C' Towing a Volkswagon..the brakes had locked up and totally ruined the wheels and tires on the toad.

I have close to 100,000 miles on my Remco which is installed on a '07 Toyota FJ Cruiser. This is my daily driver and I'm amazed that the disconnect mechanicals are still functional after 7 years of salt exposure.

A friend of mine has a Remco driveshaft disconnect on his F150 and has not had any problems with it at all. He's been towing his truck for 3 years now.

I have been using the Remco Disconnect since 1993 on my Explorer Sport with no issues. Engages and dis-engages from the drivers seat.
