Drop Receiver

Just ordered my drop receiver from night shift auto. I measured the difference of the distance between the center of the hitch to center of my base plate connection and was 8". When I called NSA I asked for a 8" drop, but was told I should order the 6" drop receiver because it's better for the tow vehicle to be a little lower then the RV. Does this sound right?

It is good info, if you lock up brakes the toad does not try to ride up over the tow bar.

Just want to be sure I am doing this properly and safely. Now I'm reading about TPMS, looks like I need to buy something else now.
