Equinox tailight bulbs

I have a 2010 Equinox. I was told by Roadmaster that the Brake-Lite Relay kit isn't compatible with my vehicle. I don't want to go with magnetic lights, so my alternate is a bulb and socket installation. Roadmaster says that their kit isn't compatible with the equinox either.

The problem is the brake lights interfering with the turn signals.

Has any found a bulb and socket kit that will work with my car?

Why not just have diodes installed instead.... That's what we use....

Imput the sockets from Blue Ox in our ‘14 Equinox and they fit fine. I like the fact that the wiring is completely independent of the vehicle’s.

Joe-

Here is a link to a Google search of iRV2 posts for this forum and with the terms "Equinox" and "light"in them. I suspect your answer is in there, as many people seem to have been able to install lights in their Equinoxes.

Just add these resistors inline, https://www.amazon.com/Resistors-Sig.../dp/B004EDF8HY, or depending on bulb size get the light and socket adapter, https://www.amazon.com/PA-Signal-can...resistor&psc=1. Search Amazon for your type bulb.

Thanks for all the replies. I had already bought the Hopkins diode kit, but then I found out about the conflict with the braking system.

The Blue Ox kit looks like what most people have used for bulb and socket. Is this the correct kit?

I figured out that the brake lights are only active when towing for about 10 minutes. After that there isn't a conflict with the turn signals. I am going to stick with the diode light kit I already have.

Thanks.
