Equinox towing

With only 2600 miles of being towed behind our 24 foot Phoenix Cruiser, the front of the car looks like we've been driving behind a gravel truck. I think it must be kicked up by the RV. Would better mud flaps help, or is this normal?

If you have a full width mud flap and it is too low it will flip grave up on the toad. If you have individual flaps they may be too low also. With a 24 foot RV the flaps are probably close to the rear and the grave that is kicked up will hit the toad more than if wheels are further from the rear.
