First Class A-Have Towing Questions

We just bought our first class A-a 98 Dolphin Ford V8.

We are searching for tow options and are leaning towards biting the bullet and tow all four up as our two vehicles are a 08 Beetle and 10 Forester, both automatic.

The Beetle must be towed with front up-a dolly but we would like to use the Subaru.

I need advice on what type of trailer-enclosed or flat, websites to look at etc. I really don't know where to start. Pros and cons etc.

The Beetle must stay-wife's car. I drive the Subie and can replace it but I'd rather not. I like the AWD and it is almost paid for.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Make sure you have the towing capacity for both the weight of the trailer and the toad. Some gas rigs in that age range were limited to 3500 lbs towing weight. Consider both the hitch capacity and the weight of the motorhome compared to the gross combined weight rating. Some rigs in that age range were also very near gross vehicle rate when loaded for travel.

You can not tow a car on a trailer with that rig, Trailer with car exceeds towing capacity of motor home (Which is 5,000 pounds tops by the way).

Google Remco USA or Remco Towing, Plug your rides into the requestor there, and they can tell you how to tow 4-down in many cases,, They sell devices that modify your vehicle to make it towable.

Odds are that a 98 Dolphin on a Ford chassis has a 4000 lb tow limit, though it might be a bit more if the coach itself is under its GVWR. That makes a trailer with a car problematic, since it is sure to weigh more than 4000. The Beetle + trailer might make it.
