I'm getting ready to set up my first toad, 06 CR-V. My coach came with a Roadmater tow bar with Blue Ox adapters on it so I ordered the Blue Ox base plate. I also ordered the SMI Stay-in-Play Duo, so my first question. Would it be a problem to extend the "coach notification" thru the 6 wire cord to the area of the drivers seat? I have also ordered the Blue Ox accessory kit and am planning on putting the bulbs in the unused bottom lens. I beleve a couple of others have done this, has it worked out OK? The CR-V brake lights work with the key off so it should really light up when stopping. I'm also planning on using a relay to run a charge line back to the toad. I think I've got it all worked out in my head and not missing anything.

I installed the lights in the bottom of the CRV lights and it has worked out great. I haven't had any battery problems in the CRV since the Stay-in-Play was installed. I carry a fully charged jump box in the toad just in case.

I installed separate bulbs in our 2003 CRV also and have never had any battery charging issues what so ever. The CRV makes a great toad.
