Flat Towing
I am looking to change from a tow dolly to flat towing and have found a 2008 Honda CRV with 158,000 miles but in really good condition and a local car, will test drive this weekend, any particulars to be wary of?

Find out when the timing belt was changed...These are interference engines and a broken belt will destroy the engine. I believe the belts are to be changed every 7 years or 100,000 miles.

There are no "gotchas" that I know about. You can to CRV's through the 2014 models. We love ours!

update-the 2008 CRV was not what I thought it was going to be, they could not verify that the belt had ever been changed and the interior was trashed.

Don't stop looking. CRV's are very good toads. After the Wrangler they are one of the most popular toads out there. Everyone I talk to who is towing them loves them.
