Flat towing '96 or '02 Isuzu Trooper?

We have a Fleetwood Pace Arrow Vision 36B. Our tow vehicle has been a '97 Suzuki Sidekick which came with tow brackets and we purchased a Roadmaster StowAway 5000 tow bracket to use with it. Works great.

One of our sons has been using the Suzuki when we are not using it with the RV. He now has a job where he'll need it, so we're looking to purchase another use TOAD.

We have an RV trip coming up next month and are considering either a '96 or '02 Isuzu Trooper to use as our tow vehicle, as we'd like something a bit more comfortable than the Suzuki (plus they are hard to find now and the price has doubled plus). We've had Troopers before (never as a TOAD) and like them.

I checked on the Roadmaster web site for the type of brackets needed for either the '96 or '02 Trooper. The brackets they show (mdl 607-18) look very different from the "male/Female" type connection we currently have using the StowMaster 5000 tow bar with our Suzuki brackets. They come out from the bumper area and then form an "L" and the end of each bracket does not resemble the male/female-type straight slide-in connection we have with the Suzuki. I've emailed Roadmaster twice and received responses. They say the tow bar we have WILL work with the 607-18 brackets, but we don't see how that's possible from the pics on their website. I'm going to call Roadmaster tomorrow and confirm that what they are saying is accurate.

Does anyone have a Trooper they use as their toad, and if so, what type of 4 on the ground tow bar/bracket system do you use? Do you find the Trooper to be a good TOAD?

We don't want to commit to buying one of two vehicles we're considering, until we have clarification that our tow bar will work and all we have to buy are the correct tow brackets.
