I have a 2006 Vue automatic. After attaching the tow bar you will have to start the Vue, go through the gear sequence ending in neutral, place the key in the acc mode and remove the ignition fuse. Here's some pics of my Vue attached to my RV.

What automatic transmission do you have? Is it the Saturn transmission or is it the Honda transmission?

I have a 2006 Saturn with the Honda engine and automatic transmission. Flat towing is simple, run through the transmission based on the owners manual recommendations, pull one fuse, release the emergency brake and away you go.

Doesn't your owners manual state what to do when flat towing your vehicle?
