Flat Towing Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock

I'm thinking of trading my 2014 Wrangler S for a 2015 Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock. I currently flat tow the S which has the Command-Trac 4WD and simply put the transfer case in neutral and then transmission in park. The Rubicon has the Rock-Trac 4WD and I can't get anyone to confirm that it works the same way.

My limited understanding of the differences in the 4WD systems makes me think it should be the same process. It would be great to hear someone confirm.

I use a Falcon 2 and realize that the existing tow bar on the Jeep end won't be able to be swapped due to the different bumper on the Hard Rock.

Should be the exact same process. I say that with about 99% confidence, but you should google the owners manual for the rubi and double check.

Well the owners manual is the same as the S. Lol. I might just have to go to the dealer and try it.

You are correct. We tow a 2012 Rubicon Unlimited and it is the same as you describe. Transfer case in neutral, transmission in Park.

Thanks for the input. I work 6 days a week and was really hoping that the day I set foot in the dealership, it would be to drive it home.

Hope you enjoy the new Jeep and can stop all that work, so you have time for the fun activities. Dave
