Ford C-Max Energi need to make toad.

Hi:
I am trying to get my Kodiak VXL 2000, E350 2001 Ford coupled to my 2014 Ford C-Max Energi. The estimate that I have of almost $2500 seems a bit high. The estimate is from an RV dealer. Is there another place that I might try? I had an offer to convert an HHR of $1500 just a couple of years ago. I don't have a clue about Blue Ox or Roadmaster and there are so many models. Need advice.
Bob

Yes that is high just did a search on the Roadmaster EZ2 brackets ( below installation instruction) this is not a hard install, cost $399 new, Roadmaster Falcon 6000 lb tow bar on Amazon $560 new. You will also need a toad brake and the price here is according to what you choose, the toad lights kit should be under $100 so so far without the toad brake you are a little over $1100 without the toad brake and you need a toad brake. I have installed over 15 Roadmaster brackets in the last 20 + yrs and it is not a real hard job.
