Ford Edge

Anyone have any experience towing a 2007 Edge FWD? Owners manual says RV towable, neutral and switch in Acc, but the Dingy Guide doesn't say towable in 07. It is listed as towable in 08 and forward. Go with the owners manual? Thanks, Dave

Call Ford Customer Service, (800) 392-3673, and ask them to verify what is printed in the owner's manual. Ford has had problems in the past with saying something is towable in the owner's manual, when in fact it was not towable.

The owner manual is correct - friends tow an '07 Edge. It is the first year they were available and came out after the Dinghy Guide for 2007 was written. Same thing for the 2007 GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook. Not in the 2007 Dinghy Guide, even though they were designed to be towable.

I can't see why it is not able to do four-down. Although first year, it has the same transmission as the 2008-up models. I tow a 2008 Edge awd and no issues.
