Ford Edge Owners

The Ford Edge seems to be a popular car to use as a dingy, so the DW & I made sure we test drove one when we went shopping for a new car last month. We ultimately bought a new, left-over 2014 Edge Limited. We have been very happy with the car so far. My only complaint has been the poor headlights. They do not light up the road well at all and Ford does not offer a driving light option.

I subscribe to the RV Geeks blog, and saw their video on retrofitting a vehicle with HID headlights. I was all set to pull the trigger on a set of HID’s recommended in the video, when I came across a dealer that sells lighting equipment specifically designed for the Ford Edge. The site is DriveBright.com

I ordered a set of HID’s from Dan of DriveBright and I couldn’t be happier. I ordered some of his LED retrofits as well, but the HID’s are clearly the best mod I have done. Dan the owner is a real nice guy and answered all of my questions before I ordered. He’s a little slow in responding to emails but almost always answers his phone on the first ring. His phone number isn't listed on his site, so feel free to PM me if you'd like his number.

Just thought I’d pass this along to fellow Edge owners.

Craig

Craig the Edge is one of the best toad I have ever had we towed a 11 for couple yrs, it was one of the most comfortable and quite toads, I did have to install a charge line to keep the battery up.

Thanks for the reply. Glad to hear how much you liked your Edge, hoping for as many happy years with our's. I plan on installing a charge line as I've been told by other members about the battery issue. Since it's "technically" the DW's new car, I have to wait a spell before I'm allowed to "mess up" the front end (her words) with towing apparatus, LOL!

I added a gratuitous photo of our new ride with the LED & HID lighting mods complete. 😎
