We still are going to install a Remco pump on our 2012 Ford Escape next week . As we have stated before, After each break down you will have about a $1,000 out of pocket exspenses for travel to and from the dealership if you are not fortunate enough to break down in a town that has a Ford dealership and the inconvenience and disruption to your travels.
I will be reporting on the success of our travels in the next few weeks.

Stay tuned

All repairs to the Escape and installation of our new equipment has been made. We took a 560 mile round trip test drive a couple weeks ago and the Remco pump worked well, as did the battery charging and disconnect setup so that we can leave the car hitched up overnight. We are quite pleased, as is the dealer who installed it all. We'll be heading out on cross country travels in May and hope all goes well.

mcw50 - Since I don't see any other posts from you in this thread, I am curious as to your particular situation with your Escape. Did you have a transmission go out while towing? What new equipment did you have installed - Remco pump? Maybe you could elaborate for us.

Yes, our transmission was "fried" while towing. Yes, we now have a Remco pump.

Enter "Flat towing 2012 Ford Escape" in the search box and you should get another thread that discusses our situation
