Red face Ford Flex

has anyone here used a ford flex as their toad? the manual says we have to disconnect the black battery cable, but then how do the lights work? or am I just being stupid? We just bought a 2016 based on the motorhome magazine recommendation, but it didnt mention having to unhook the battery cable. the owners manual says you have to, and now I am worried. we have a fusion we used as a toad, and it was EZ. unfortunately my other half has a gimpy leg and getting in and out of the fusion is proving very problematic.
thanx in advance for any help ya got!

Your Flex lights can be powered from your MH lights.

Kendra I can't see any reason to unhook the battery except to keep from running the battery down, why not just install a toad battery charger or run a charge line from the coach chassis battery to the toad battery, I have had a charge line for yrs to all my toads because with all the battery drain in the new cars it's easy to deplete the battery.

It is a real simple install and for the folks that don't want the problem of getting everything round up for the install there is the LSL kit.
