Getting a Class A DP!!

Just made an offer for a 1993 Beaver Baronet, and he accepted the offer. I'm off to get the rig in the next few weeks.

Here's my question. My budget is tight, and I cannot afford to buy a toad to go with my rig, but I currently own a 1976 Ford Pinto Wagon with the C3 automatic transmission. What would I need to do to tow this vehicle four-down? I like this car. Simple to repair, simple systems, no ps or pb, just basic transportation, and it is LIGHT.

Hopefully there are some older fogeys like me who recall the Pinto. Web sites that give toad listings just don't go back that far.

Here's a past thread that says you can tow it. Now you'll need a base plate and tow bar. Good luck.

REMCO sounds like your solution. They have a drive line quick disconnect system. I has one on my 68 Ford Falcon with auto transmission. I towed it 4 wheel down with drive line disconnected and with in seconds easily re-engaged the drive line when I disconnected from the RV. Never a problem.

They were talking about the manual transmission. No joy. I have the C3 automatic.
