Bob, suggest that you call your GM dealer to check for the latest service bulletins. The owner's manual on my Saturn was in error on what to pull.

Does your owners manual mention pulling fuses?
I wasn't aware that fuse pulling was necessary on the Envoy, BUT, I don't know everything.
We have some members towing Envoys. We should hear from them.

Not necessary to pull any fuse on a Envoy.

Hi BobGuy,
I tow a 2005 ENVOY XUV. It has 2W, AW and 4W drive capability. In the owner's manual are instructions for putting the transfer case into neurtal. It is not difficult and can be done from the driver's seat. I have towed the XUV over 40K miles. The ENVOY is a great toad.
For my ENVOY there is no fuse to pull.
The owner's manual is the only place the manufacturer puts the towing process, in writing.

In the case of the 2007 Saturn, the owners manual was incorrect and was updated by a service bulletin. If you pulled what the manual said pull, your battery died.

Yes Jim, this information was in your first post. I'm not sure what your point is, by restating the information about a Saturn. If you have different information about the GMC ENVOY, please let us know. I know of no error in the owner's manual for the ENVOY.
There are different procedures, for the ENVOY, depending on the transmission installed. This is why it is important for an owner to obtain the correct towing procedure from the owner's manual.
It is unfortunate your owner's manual was in error. It is good the dealer was able to provide the most current information.

Thanks for all the help. I have the Envoy setup with the SMI Air Force One Brake System and we're ready to tow. Looks like the Envoy will be alot easier to tow than the Saturn LW we have.
