New to the toad game - have a DSDP 38' with a 350 Cummins and are looking to start towing. This is our 4th ot 5th motorhome, but we have newer done towing thing.

Anyhow, the cars we currently have available as a toad are a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix and a 2004 Nissan Murano. Would either of these be tow-happy? Either one a little better than the other?

The GP is an automatic; the Murano is an all-wheel drive automatic.

TIA!

I don't believe either of those is towable without mods. You can check the list on the Motorhome Magazine site or contact Remco (http://www.remcotowing.com) to see if they have a kit to convert either vehicle.

Gary, thanks for the reply. That's what I am finding out in my research, too. These are both leased vehicles, and we aren't anywhere near full time or anything yet, so I don't see buying a vehicle dedicated to being the toad. Looks like a dolly may be in our future if I want to drag anything with me at all.

thanks for helping!

/ tim

I would expect that the Grand Prix could be towed with the addition of a transmission lube pump, but do not know that for a fact. Call Remco and ask - they won't steer you wrong or try to sell you something you don't need. REMCO is 1 800 228 2481
