Hi Folks

I'm seeting up my 2003 Ranger as a toad. I put in the Blue Ox wiring kit (w/ new sockets and bulbs) --- I get the running lights and turn signals but no stop lights. I measured the voltage or lack of on the motorhome--there is no voltage -- brake lights on the motor home are on but nothing coming out of the connector.

Any ideas--the motorhome is a 2004 Fleetwood Bounder 36S.

Thanks
Bill

Both the left and right turn signal should light. Your turn signals turn to stop lights.

My Bounder has seperate turn signal(amber) and brake lights (red). According to the owners manual and the pigtail they give you it shows that the turn signals and the stop lights run on the same wire for a given side. Would Fleetwood have not hooked the brake light but just the turn signal.

You may have seperate brake and turn light circuits. If so you will need a converter put in line to mix the circuit for the toad. A 3 to 2 converter should do the trick.

Thanks

Went to the local dealer and picked up a 3 to 2.

Found that Fleetwood wires the stoplights to the center pin (#7) at the Bargmann connector--so wasn't hard to wire in the adapter.

Thanks to all.

See ya down the road.

Bill
