Is anyone using a brake buddy while towing their HHR? Did you run a hot line for the unit or just plug in to the cigar lighter? Many thanks;

I ran a connection directly from the battery to a seperate powere outlet (cig lighter socket)- supplied by Brake Buddy and put a boat power cut off switch to turn the battery power off to everything else.
I have run the Brake buddy for 4 days towing and could still start the car without problems.

Have HHr for 2 years and about 4000 miles towed with Brake Buddy installed. I plug BB into the cigar lighter and have not experienced any battery problems. Sometimes don't start toad for 2 days, but do turn off key when parked overnite.

My HHR manual only states not to exceed 65 mph. There is no requirement to start and shift the car every so often while it is being towed.
