I knew when I bought my HHR that it was around 3100 lbs. The other day , I wasn't so sure for about an hour. I was sitting in it waiting for DW to finish shopping when a guy approached me asking questions about it as a toad. When he asked me how much it weighed , I told him around 3100. He said lets look at the lable on the door and to my shock it said 4250.

It turns out that chevy puts the gvwr which includes all passangers and cargo. I don't remember other cars that I've owned that list the weight that way. It may be because it is considered a light truck. Anyway, I finally checked my registration and it said 3120.

So you have a CCC of 1,130 lb.
Just like mine.

Next time at a car lot open a few doors and check the label on them.
Bet they all have one.

Sounds like you will have plenty of load carrying capacity for us'uns. Poor Buddy will need to stay home probably.

I will be doing the driving. I've already heard how that HHR rides. Don't say a word to Tallulah. You do have gas money?

We are going to put some serious mileage on that Malibu. And probably put skid marks on your Visa card.

The only way to know what YOUR car really weighs is to take it to a scale.
