Hidden receivers

Do you leave the hidden receivers in place on your toad all the time? Has anyone had them stolen? Mine are on a Pathfinder and the pins can be seen although you have to either get on your knees or stand on your head to remove them.

I remove the blue-ox pins every time as they are easy breezy to remove. The black caps have been wire lanyarded to the safety cable holes as they can easily blow off sometimes. What we worry about is someone taking the coiled 7 wire pigtail and safety cables at $100+

Mine have been in place for almost 6 years. The pins stay with the hitch rather than the base plates, so just have the small Blue Ox receiver rod visible.

We don't live or travel in any area where theft is much of a problem.
