need to go from a 500lb tongue wht. to at least a 750lb. tongue wht. butGCWR is restricted to a 500lb. would a load distribution hitch let me do that? Have a 37' 05 LaPalma (gas) Workhorse chassie would like to haul a deucehualer trailer(car tow dolly w/ two ATV's on front) "imput please" Thank you. Lee

I would give both Workhorse and the tow dolly mfg a call and pose this question to them. You will still not want to exceed your GCWR of the motorhome chassis. Good luck and have a great summer.

My crystal ball says that Workhorse will refer you to the RV manufacturer (LaPalma). The limiting factor on the tonque weight is the frame extension that was added by LaPalma. It is unlikely that LaPalma will be amenable to raising the tonque weight, but miracles do happen.

As discussed in other threads, you will need to find a local shop that has the knowledge and skills to reinforce the frame extension to handle the additional load.
