Honda CRV Towing W/Fusemaster

Does anyone know if the 12V plug in will be hot when the accessory fuse is pulled or turned off using the Fusemaster from Camping World? We use a Brake Buddy that plugs into the 12V receptacle.
Thanks for your help.

that is in interesting question. I would imagine not if the fuse pull is designed to keep the battery from running down. I would say plug something like a GPS in and pull the fuse, see what happens.

I just had my 2014 CRV set up for towing with a Blue Ox system with a Patriot brake, which is like your Brake Buddy. I had the tech install the switch, and when it is thrown, the power to both outlets is killed. Grrr. He didn't bother checking, and I didn't find out until I brought it home and went through a hook up dry run. We had to install a separate outlet that is direct wired, and not switched.

Give BB a call. They supply a fused outlet directly wired to the cars battery. It has a 15amp fuse and is more robust that OEM. It is always hot so is convienent for other devices when the BB is not in use. You might be surprised at the amount they charge. It is an easy DIY install.

Well, I put one on from CW (Hated to pay the price) and the accessory socket is hot. I took the advice posted earlier and tested with my GPS. Thanks all!
