Greetings all, when we purchased our 2006 Honda pilot the sales person said we could tow four down and wrote instructions in our owners manual how to do it but now they tell us it can't be done! 2005's could be towed. Anyone out there towing a 2006? We are picking our new 2008 Dutchstar up on Mon. and the RV dealer was to install the tow package but now it looks like we will have to rent a vehicle to drive the 1200 miles to the dealer and then be without a toad for our 3wk. planned vacation. This really sucks! Thanks in advance, Sodbuster

The 2006 Pilot can be towed but Honda will not warrant the transmission if a problem develops.

You might see if REMCO makes a drive shaft disconnect lever for your vehicle. That would solve your tranny issue I would think.

We had the same problem. The sales people are lieing and Honda will not cover the warranty on the Pilot or the Element after 2005. I had the service manager involved and he couldn't get it changed. Forced me to sell my Pilot and buy a Ford Edge AWD.
Honda has lost a life long customer. My has has a Honda 2006 Element and it will be replaced with something other than a Honda.
