I have looked at Motorhome and they start at 2002. I want a minimal, lightweight (approx. 2300-2600 lbs), standard shift, 4down capable toad. We don't have many needs, just the weight, runs good, and A/C would be a plus. Where can I find a list of flat towable's in that year range?
Thanks,
Joe

Go to this website Old Toads and scroll down. 1999 is available on the site, and they tell you how to order older years.

Thanks, but that appears to be a listing of what the vehicle can tow itself, and not whether or not the vehicle can be towed flat. Any other suggestions? Ami I missing something there?

As far as I know, all rear wheel drive manual shift vehicles are towable. Most front drive manuals are too, but a few have hydraulic clutch systems and are not, so check beforehand. Remco Towing can provide information on many toads - check their website or give them a call if you have a particular vehicle in mind.

You could also use the 2002 Dinghy Tow Guide as a starting point - manual trannies don't change that much, so if the 2002 is towable, the previous years likely are too.

Trailer Life publishes a 10 Year Towing Guide that claims to cover both tow ratings and dinghy towing back to 1999.

Hey, thanks RV Roamer. That looks like a good resource as well as the other info above. I just don't want to spend much on a toad. It's sole purpose is being a toad and will only be used otherwise in emergencies.
