no way around the length regs, the motor home is 52' alone that is 7' over by itself. after that add the trailer and it gets stupid fast, a little over 80'. never had a problem but there is a ticket out there waiting for me somewhere. when I find it, it will just be part of the operating expense of the rig for the year. some people have a hard time understanding that but it is the price you pay sometimes.

05 40 foot Dynasty towing 25 foot trailer.

5,200 lb axles with an axle weight of 8,800 lg.

Teckonsha RF wireless brake contoller. Works great

Wheel straps through wheel spokes with secondary cross strps loosely connected to car frame to allow vertical movement.

Check tie downs daily.

If you hit a curb near gross weight trailer axle will bend, first hand experience.

Pack wheel bearings every season (10,000 miles).

Check wheel stud torque everynday. Had three friends loose a wheel.

Carry an extension cord for older parks that have power outlet at extreme end of space.

Back in the 60's I worked for Hertz as a driver and cleanup guy. I lived in San Bernardino CA and spent many miles driving cars back to Las Vegas. After a half year I racked up 23 tickets all for speeding. Well, I never paired one of them because I left the state and headed back home to Oregon. For years I never returned to CA because I thought they would arrest me. Years went by and I never heard a word from The state of California. I think I'm safe now.
My point is, I wonder how they treat this today? Can they go across the boarder to get you. Is there a statute of limitations?
