How much can I tow?

I have a 2006 diesel pusher with a Cummins 300 isb and a Allison 5 speed. What we want to tow is a 20 foot enclosed trailer with a 4 door Honda Civic and a golf cart inside. Is this doable?

Need more info like make and model of the RV, and the total weight you want to tow, but I'm guessing you'll be over the max for towing. The Allison trans will probably be the limiting factor.

Here are the spec's on the 2100 and 2200: http://www.allisontransmission.com/d...9.pdf?sfvrsn=2
They are both limited to 26,000#'s total if I'm reading the thing right. So you could tow 10,000#'s if the rig weighs no more than 16,000#'s. If it weighs 20,000#'s then 6,000#'s is the most.

Here are the specs for the 2500 trans: http://www.allisontransmission.com/d...k.pdf?sfvrsn=2
The limit is higher at 33,000#'s total with that trans.

Well the 2500 is rated higher as I posted earlier. Now you need the weights you're dealing with to decide.
Also remember it's not just the transmission ratings that you need to contend with.

What make/model MH are we talking about? The specs you're asking for are typically published by the manufacturer.
