How much does a lube pump cost?

So I had a thread about a Toyota Highlander.
2004 Toyota Highlander flat tow??

Well i called the original owner and found out that it had never been towed. Turns out after the base plate was installed they figured out it would cost a bunch more money to make it towable. I bet that was disappointing.
So it needs a lube pump. Just wondering about how much they cost? Or any other info. Thanks

A Remco Lube Pump Kit will set you back $1300 plus 6 hours labor @ $100/HR plus incidentals = $2000 to $2250.

If this helps; I have a perfectly good Remco lube pump that we had on a Toyota for a few years. Before we sold the car, I removed it and boxed it up. I have it around here someplace, if anyone is interested, I will sell cheap.

I am going to pass on the toyota. If it was ready to go it would be a good deal but I think i will keep looking for now. My wife doesn't like it anyway.
I have a two wheel drive S10 that is paid for and my dad has a drive shaft disconnect i can probably have. $350 for a base plate and take the steering wheel lock out and I will be ready to go. That sounds better than spending $10,000. I have my coach listed for sale anyway.
Thanks guys

Would that same pump work on a Chevy uplander? Or are they unique per car?

Each " kit " is slightly different , pump it's self may be the same , but hardware to complete the install differs.
Check the Remco site for kit #'s for each vehicle, and if the vehicle is flat towable at all.

I believe they are the same. The 12 volt pump simply recirculates transmission fluid to keep the trans lubricated. The remote control panel mounts under the dash in the motorhome, and gives the driver control switch, warning lamp and buzzer, if something were to fail.

I have the pump and remote control head, but you will need to get some wire, and some flex tubing to connect to the pump and pan.
