I need to buy a used Toad

I need to buy a Toad. Looking for something used in the 6k range. Will be flat towing it behind our 35' Diesel Pusher RV. Never flat towed before. Always used a trailer before.

It will also have to be my daily driver around town when we're not RV'ing. Would like to get a 4x4. Not really interested in a Jeep Wrangler unless it has the hardtop.

Want else could I look at?

I've seen Jeep Liberty, Chevy Trackers, Honda CRV, etc. Look at some cars you might want and then check them out in the Motorhome,Dingy Towing Guide.
Remco also has great information on what can be towed .i am sure you can find what you kneed as a personal car as well as a toad.

2004/5 Honda CRV and Element might be in that price range. However if you are wanting a true 4x4 for off-road rugged driving, the AWD cars won't cut it.

According to Honda the '05 Element is not towable four down. Went all through that with the CA AG's office and Honda Legal dept. some years back.

Mr D, you and I have discussed this before, albeit briefly. If you have the time, will you please provide a scan of the primary correspondence stating that the 2005 Element is not towable?

There are alot to choose from in your price range. We tow a 2004 Chev Trailblazer, and our friends tow a GMC Envoy.

There are many Saturn Vues that fit your list. They aren't made anymore but GM dealers are eager to service them. Parts are all available.

I have a 2005 GMC Envoy XL 4WD that we tow 4 down with a 35' 8.1 Workhorse. It's a bit too heavy for my gasser so I will be setting up my Cruze ECO for flat towing later this summer. I'm planning on listing the Envoy for $6500 next week.

Not true. Check all years and models. Latest from 2008 on can all be towed. FWD and AWD.
2005 and newer can be towed with FWD.
