How hard is it to DIY the M&G brake on a 08 Wrangler? Local installer wants $450 to do it. Wondering if I can handle the job myself.

Check with M&G, they rate the difficulty of the installation. Some have obstructions which must be moved to facilitate the job. On my GC just had to massage the brake lines a bit, pretty easy install. If your shop charges $100 per hour that works out to 4.5. A bit on the long side compared to mine. Mike

I installed the M&G on my 08 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 and I was a little apprehensive at first but after getting into it I thought it was a piece of cake. The hardest part was tapping into the air brake system on the coach but it all worked out great.

Hello Bruce:

I have installed and removed the M&G on my old Suburban and installed it on the Yukon.

Read the instructions and call the company if you have questions. The hardest part for me was the installation of the brake away system, most of that was deciding where the best place to put it was. The coach was the other part I had think about in taping into the hydraulic brake system.
