Is Blue Ox Brake Supplemental Brake System Repairable?

My eight year old Blue Ox supplemental brake system "box" started blowing fuses until it finally just gave up the ghost. The Rv repair shop said that it is dead and suggested that it be sent to Blue Ox to see if it can be fixed. The new systems cost in excess of $1K - which I will pay for if necessary - but I was wondering if anyone had any experiences of this type and if the system was able to be repaired?

As I recall, Blue Ox has redesigned their brake system a couple times in the last 8 years. Why not give them a call and discuss your model and see if they are still repairing those and get an idea how much. They may even offer you an upgrade to a new one at an attractive price.

Gary,

My dealer recommended the same thing so that's what I'm doing. I got a new HD antenna system at 1/2 price by going through the same type of process so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks,

Denny
