Thanks. The SRC bumper has a very similar bottom to your XRC, so I will look to do something like that. I originally questioned if the thickness of the metal on the part that comes down was strong enough to hold should something catastrophic happen to the towbar. When you say you “added” holes, did you just drill a couple big enough for the safety cable hook?

I have a differing bumper than the SRC or XRC. Bottom is very beefy on mine. I drilled holes just large enough to accommodate a large quick link. Safety cable hooks to the quick link.

I found holes in the frame near where the sway bars (I think that's what they are) connect. It's tough to find then the first time, but they r there and the Blue Ox break away cable will fit.
