Jeep JK Side Air Bags

I am going to purchase a 2009 Rubi Unlimited and I was going to order the side air bags and the salesman said that in rugged off road use that they diploy. Has anybody had this problem? I think that the salesman just wanted to sell the one on his lot, (it had no side airbags)

I would appriciate any feedback.

Thank you,

I agree with CoolTech, his eyes must have been brown. Jeep would NOT design a vehicle with the offroad capabilities of the Rubicon only to have the airbags go off when using it offroad. I have a 2007 Jeep Sahara 4dr which I tow regularly and you will find it is a very easy vehicle to set up to set up. I would find a different dealer and a hungry salesman who is willing to sell you what you want for a decent price. Good luck.

I have a 2008 Sahara and no problems with premature air bag deployment. You can always tell if a car salesman is lying, check his lips. If they're moving he's lying.
