Jeep Patriot pros and cons

I would like to hear from anyone that has an opinion good or bad about using a Jeep Patriot as a toad.
Thanks

We thought there was a lot of road noise when you're driving one, at least the one we test drove had a lot of road noise.

I just came home from a local Jeep dealer with my head spinning. They told me that Jeep doesn't recommend flat towing a manual transmission Patriot, and therefore doing so would void the warranty. They said the only option was to go with an automatic or CVT transmission with the added option they call the Freedom-Drive II Off-Road Group. We're just looking for a basic 4 door that makes sense to tow and use around town.

You can search "toad dingy" and you should find the downloadable vehicle lists of towables 4 wheels down. Check the manual, check with another dealer. The salesman may just have another agenda. At worst, get a written confirmation that it is towable 4 down before you buy. I think it is mostly to do with the transmission.

I seem to remember that a lot of Jeeps are ok. My only issue with a jeep is they don't exactly ride well for around the town driving. I do like the Jeep Cherokee, rides better, but my wife thought it was kind of old ladyish.

Your choices need to match with your mh. For example, I read that Breeze 32 owners liked towing the fit, but some found towing a jeep was ok...very personal as to performance.

I just downloaded the Owners Manual and it says flat towing a manual transmission is OK.
