Here is the first page of a four part write up on what is needed and how to install it (with photos).

Basically, a tow bar, base plate, lights, and umbilical cord (and a breakaway system but that's a different topic).

The base plate is the thing bolted to the Jeep frame to which the tow bar attaches. The alternative is an aftermarket front bumper. Some of the aftermarket Wrangler bumpers are MEGA cool and include the tow bar attach points, winch, etc.

Several options on the taillights. I went with the CoolTech harness and it was super simple.

This is what you need for lights for the toad.
Wire them up just like a trailer, the diodes prevent backfeed from jeep to MoHo
