My Rubicon came with an on board tire pressure monitoring system built in. It is not as advanced as the TireSafe Guard system that I have been using in the MH (and the previous Jeep) for a while now. So when I sold the old Jeep I had the TSG sensors taken out. I had them installed yesterday into the Rubicon, replacing the factory sensors. The factory sensors and the TSG sensors look quite similar.

The built in Jeep system just uses a dash light indicator that warns when a tire drops below a certian preset threshold. The TSG sensors send a signal to a receiver in the MH that displays the tire pressure and temperature in each Jeep tire.

Well, the TSG system is working fine, but what has happened, at least so far, is that the on board system in the Jeep thinks that the sensors are missing and has illuminated the light. I'm not sure yet if the situation will correct itself or not. I looked at the possibility of pulling a fuse, but just my luck the fuse that controls the Jeep TPMS also controls several other dash functions.

If the sensor light doesn't reset itself, I may as a last resort try the dealer to see if they can flash the ECM to turn off the system. Any other ideas guys??

I don't know how the system works in the Chrysler products, but Toyota has a "Relearn" button that if you change to a different normal tire pressure, it resets to that pressure as the standard. You may be able to fool the computer into thinking 0 psi is the correct pressure. I do not have a working knowledge of this system, but it is worth a shot before you pay a dealer big bucks. It should have this procedure in the owners manual. You have nothing to lose if it don't since the lights on anyway.

Hey, great info. I was wondering too, I don't know if the sensors use the same frequencies as one another. It would have been a real dream if the on board system would have picked up the signal from the TSG sensors.

I haven't driven the Jeep far enough yet, the manual says you have to drive the Jeep for 10 minutes at a speed of over 15MPH to reset the sensor program after there has been a activation.
