Jeep wiring for tail lights
Is there a Jeep accessory/ whatever it is called that allows the turn signals brake lights ect to be plugged in with short wire from the MH rear to under the hood of the Wrangler? I have magnetic lights and they work fine, but it would be much easier to use a 6 ft cable rather than all the wires, magnets and such.
I am familiar with a wire that runs the length of the Jeep and plugs at the rear. Just like to be more compact and neat.
This is a 2013 Jeep Wrangler 4 Dr Sahara automatic tranny

I used the wiring kit from Cool Tech, you run it back and plug it inline with the drivers rear brake light and it works great. the other end is a 4 pin that you mount near the bumper.

I can’t say this with any certainty, but it’s doubtful that anything like that exists under the hood. There are wires in the cab near the passenger floor board that run back there but you’d have to cut and splice to make it work. Using an off the shelf solution like Cool Tech or Hopkins require little other than plugging in a connection and running a wire about 20 feet. That’s what I’m doing this weekend.

The Mopar flat tow wiring harness for the JKs is plug and play. It plugs into the wiring harness up under the dash and there is an umbilical cord that goes to the front bumper. There's no running wires to the rear of the Jeep and no drilling extra holes in the light fixtures for extra bulbs. Better yet, there's no cutting and splicing of wires. The Mopar totally isolates the Jeep from the motor home wiring using small relays so there is no chance of feedback into the Jeeps computer buss.
Here's a post I did a few years ago on installing the Mopar in our Jeep.

x2 on the Cool Tech....it did take me awhile to run the electrical in the frame but that was my choice.

I stand corrected. It is nice and pricey!

I just installed the Hopkins 56200 Jeep Wrangler/Renegade 2007-2017 Towed Vehicle Wiring Kit in our 2012 Wrangler, last weekend. Easy-Peasy! Worst part is running the wiring from the rear to the front. Other than that, it all just snaps together and works like a charm.

Did our 2018 Wrangler 4 door. Came from connection by baseplate around and into hole in frame by front suspension. Had electrician fish tape already pushed from hole in frame by behind back axle. Pulled wire through, out of frame and up into tailight housing. Easy and super clean. Covered all wire exposed with 1/2" black flex conduit.
