Thought I would relay an ongoing issue I have been experiencing with my TJ for others that tow one. Seems that the Multi Function Switch (MFS-turn signal stalk controlling all light functions) wears out prematurely and at any time while parked, key in or out, locked up or not, or while towing, the fog lights can turn on due to a short in the switch. I have had my battery drained twice before investigating this issue over at jeepforum.com. Switch will need replaced, some do it themselves, or the dealer ($$$). A quick temporary fix is to pull the #3 fuse which will disable the fog lights until you repair the switch. Just be aware. Also, this same MFS switch is used on the PT Cruiser.
