Hello,

Please let me know how such a vehicle tows behind the MH. Are you happy with it, problems, etc please. Considering one of these so we can cruise back country logging road in search of wildlife photography. Thank you in advance.

From Ol' to Old,

I've been towing an automatic '97 TJ Sahara for 4 years now. Not a single towing problem. Not one. Base plate install was less than an hour. Lighting even faster. Hook UP, Tranny to Park, transfer case to nuetral, key in first detent, TOW. The only reason not to use a wrangler type Toad is the back seat. Nobody wants us to drive when we go out to dinner. Getting in and out of the back seat of a wrangler is at best an exercise in contortionism. So after four years of my devilishly clever way of saving gas I was forced to buy my new Saturn toad and I'll be doing a lot of Taxi'ng for awhile. Have fun.

Unless you go the route I went, I sold the 01' Wrangler and bought a 08' Wrangler Unlimited. Four doors plus a cargo area, and an awesome off road vehicle to boot. Tows great, and the ride is 100% improved over the earlier two door models.........

We flat tow an 08 Wrangler 4 door. Love it. Tracks perfectly behind our E450 based class C. Setup can be done by yourself if you're somewhat handy.

Check out the newly "re-started" 2007-2009 Jeep Wrangler Flat Towing thread.

We towed a 2000 Wrangler since 2000 and no problems except replacing tires as they wear. I had 17k on the MH and 110 miles on the Jeep when we started towing. I now have 116k on the MH and 104k on the jeep. The 104k is road miles, add the 90k+ miles of towing and you'll see how far it's gone. It's also still worth around $9k.

No, it's an electronic odometer. Only analog odometers turn when the igniton is off.

First Jeep for us. We tow a 07 JK Unlimited. We use the Cooltech Harness, ReadyBrake / ReadyBrute tow bar, Roadmaster brackets and a Roadmaster Coil Cord that I modified to have a 6 pin on one end and a 4 pin on the other. I also unplug both the IOD and M1 fuses while towing. Nothing but the steepest of inclines make the the JK noticeable from the coach. I always make sure to have the rear camera on to keep an eye on things while under way.
