Jeep Wrangler Toad wiring

Recently purchased a OEM toad wiring Harness for my 2011 Jeep Wrangler sport. Has a plug with 5 wires that goes into the jeep wiring harness. The five wires are green, black, brown, red and a red wire that has been spliced into a larger black wire. Where do the wires go, i.e., Green left tail light, Black ground etc.

Did you get this kit direct from a dealer ?
No instructions ? Dealer should have access to replacement instructions if you lost them.

Wiring Harness

Any part numbers for the wiring harness ? OEM from a Jeep dealer? Sounds interesting.

I think this is the part #82211156AB of the Mopar Jeep harness.
I read somewhere on here that they took it to the dealer to install and they had some problem with it. I can't remember which thead it was, so you'll have to start reading on maybe someone will chime in.

My dealer failed on a 2013 Sport S. They said the part didn't work on Pentastar Jeeps and said the Mopar website was incorrect. Someone else took their 2012 to their local dealer and got the job done.

The 2012 Wrangler also has the new 3.6 Pentastar engine, so something isn't right here.
2012 was the first year with the new engine.

Wrangler OEM wire harness for flat towing

I was going to install this OEM harness on my 2013 wrangler until I read on the JK forum about the harness that is sold by Cool Tech. Somewhat less money and a lot less involved installation. I have read about several owners that have installed the Cool Tech harness and all have good things to say about the product. I hope I will feel the same after I install it on my Jeep.
