we tow a 2013 Honda crv, weighs about 3450#. Crv owners manual has a section that lists procedure to follow when preparing tontow crv that is simple and easy to follow. Things like, confirm transmission fluid at proper level and changed on a maintenance schedule, go thru a shift sequence is critical to prevent damage, and to reduce battery drain to remove a certain accessory circuit fuse. We added an accessible switch to accomplish this. Also you will need to stop every 6-8 hours(follow your car manual stipulations for towing) and perform the gear shift sequence. We just got into type c rving and decided to set for towing and this is what we did. Research info on toads and we decided on Honda crv with awd towing four wheels down. We are using road master parts, the falcon 2 and brake buddy. Just remember never back up with toad connected, can bend tow system($$). We have only towed once on a 700 mile trip and this seems to be a good setup. Having a towing checklist is a good idea to ensure nothing is forgotten.
enjoy, have a happy new year.
