Anyone ever have any bearing failures on kk-260 / 360 or the ss? Just wondering if I should tell my friend who just bought a used kk-360 to carry one in case.

Nope, used it for several years then went to four down but never had any failures other than both fenders cracked and were replaced for no cost.

I decided I should get my bearings packed before our last trip with it (before we sold it). Nothing to pack. It is a sealed system. So, no need to carry extra bearings.

Note: they did find a bad tire so the trip to the tire center was not wasted, just expensive.

The reason for the question was the fact that it is a sealed brg/hub/spindle assembly and not readily available at a local parts store if it went bad. I understand anything can go bad but was just wondering how many had trouble with them to justify carrying one.

We were the third owner of ours. We put at least 10,000 on it plus the unknown amount by previous owners without a problem.

I also recently had the bearings packed on our utility trailer, titled as 1942. It still had the felt seals so it has not been done for at least 29 years. Not as many miles and lighter duty but still low maintenance (not like boat trailers).

So, it's a choice. Personally, I would pass on the spares.

Is it the UPF Vault system? If so I have a thread for checking them on this forum as ACME uses the Vault system.
