This is what we use. We place it in the rear window of our Passat TDI. No wires.

We had the kar kaddy ss and loved it but when the equipment became available to tow our pt 4 down that's the way we went. I would not hesitate buying another Kar Kaddy though if I had need for one. Your right the folding tongue, galvanized finish, LED lighting, articulated steering and surge brakes are all a plus. A bit on the pricey side but what would you expect for the best dolly on the road. JMHO Good Luck in your decision.

Don't know all the details. I checked with the dealer service dept when I bought it they said cutting into the lighting system will cause it to not work. Someting about how it's controlled by the computer. Maybe Paul can get the details from his neighbor. I used diodes on my 03 Altima they worked fine. I believe there are other newer auto's that can't have their wiring cut into.
