Jeep stopped putting in wheel locks sometime in 2008 or 2009. I think it depended on the model. Our '10 Wrangler did not have them, nor does our '12 Liberty.

One of my first good threads here was a pictorial on pulling the wheel lock out of my Wrangler TJ.
Much of it applies to the JK's as well.

It would be easy to find. Search the towing forum for threads started by me.

be careful with this one... Our wrangler, the wheel locked at 180 degrees. not anywhere near straight up, all the way around!
