Lights for 2015 F150

Looking if anyone has wired into the existing light system with the diodes on a 2015 F150 with all LED lights. Or did you drill out and install a separate light bulb into the housing?

Jim I did neither, I use a Roadmaster Brakemaster and when actuated by the coach the truck brake lights will cover up the turn signal from the coach by mashing the truck brakes, you can use a brake relay to solve this problem but I chose to buy a LED tail, brake & signal lstrip ight off of EBay for under $30 and attach to the bottom lip of my tail light, on our Ford trucker it will not fit between the bottom of the tail gate and bumper. I plug it up to the truck lights when not towing and to the coach lights when towing. Works good for me.

I have drilled extra lights and have followed others with drilled lights. The lights are dim and hard to see. When drilling it is not possible to get the bulb positioned properly for reflector to work well.
I just set up my 2012 Flex with leds and did not use any diodes and boy you can see these lights. There is no place to drill on these lights housing is sealed unit. Decided not to tow our F150 because it is so darn heavy. Flex is no light weight but lighter than F150.

Jim,
I have radar units in my LED taillights, it is used to avoid collisions when backing. Due to the brake lights working when my brake system activates, I decided to do something like Walt. I have ordered the Redline LED system for turn signals. It will double the taillights when not towed and I get additional reverse lights.

I taped into the led lights, tail and turn signal. Used the diodes, and works good.

Update

My LED bar showed up broken due to shipping. I was stuck having to do something or cancel a trip.

I ended up wiring the factory taillights with diodes. I do have the radar units in my taillights. The radar system and lights share the same connector, it wasn't hard to do, here are the colors.

Right turn Purple/White
Left turn Grey/Brown
Running light Blue/White

I did what Walt did!

I would say the wiring is very light duty, but the light has been very good so far and I like hooking it up to the 4 way when I'm not attached to the MH.
