We just bought a 1999 Susuki Vitara to tow behind our MH. Trying to figure best way to hook up lights. I like the separate bulb idea, but there doesn't appear to be enough space. Has anyone installed the separate bulb in their Vitara?
Thanks

We use separate roof-mounted lights, but I think a friend has the extra bulbs in his 2004 Grand Vitara.

Might there be room for LED lights? The sockets are the same size but the "bulb" part is usually smaller.

Thanks Roamer,

I was thinking about the roof lights, but the Vitara roof is about 6 ft tall, & thought that might be too high for lights.
When I removed the light assembly it looks like there are way too many weird angles & doesn't afford a large enough space to mount another socket. I may just buy the diodes & install them using the original bulbs.

Again, thanks.

Just an update, I decided to wire into the existing system. Bought the diodes from Radio Shack. The Susuki has the separate amber turn signal lites, but the MH doesn't. So I used the Suzuki stop lites for both. I had the MH hooked up as I was wiring so I could check out each connection as it was completed. All seems to work well.
Now just waiting for my SMI Silent Partner to arrive, another fun day ahead.
