I am working on a deal on a Fit to use as a toad.
Is their room in the tail light for the extra bulb and socket? It is a holiday in Ontario to-day so I can't go look at the car.

With diodes used, no problem to need room.

Yes there is room. That is exactly what I did and ran the wires to a 4 wire plug on the motorhome.
If you remove the tail lights you will see where there is enough room to add a bulb and socket.

I added bulbs in the tail light fixture of my CRV about two weeks ago. I don't use them all the time but checked them today and they apparently put out a lot of heat. The plastic on the tail light lense near the bulb is showing signs of melting - just something to keep in mind.

Thank's I will check with guy that is going to do the tow bar for me and see what he prefers. I want to keep it as simple as I can.

1ciderdog,
You might want to take a look at an LED replacement for the bulb.
